ESSENTIAL OILS And ADDICTIONS

Thankfully there are many natural ways to make the process if recovery a little easier; today I’ll be sharing how essential oils can be used.

To the brain, all addictions have similar damaging effects. Irrelevant which substance the person is using, the body releases chemicals which give a “high” or feeling of euphoria but the pleasure or relief from pain is temporary. When the body starts to expect these substances and doesn’t get it once the addict enters recovery the addict experiences many physical and emotional responses which are unpleasant to say the least.

Essential oils can be used to help reprogram the body’s cravings for substances and strengthen the person’s resolution to abstain. Essential oils are also able to support and strengthen the emotional areas of pain that caused the person to begin the addictive behaviour.

Please double check the quality of the essential oils you purchase because they are not created equally. We use only dōTERRA products because I am confident with the purity (no fillers) and potency.
